In 2023, PGE secured seabed rights for several new offshore wind locations in the Polish Baltic Sea. Baltica 9, a 975 MW project in basin 44.E.1 on the western part of the Słupsk Bank, is explicitly described as being situated in one of five locations awarded to PGE that year. This award effectively designates area 44.E.1 for development by PGE and underpins the subsequent planning of the Baltica 9 offshore wind farm, including its integration into PGE’s broader Baltic portfolio and later clustering with the adjacent FEW Baltic II project into the Baltica 9+ undertaking.
