An environmental impact assessment for the generation part of the Baltica 9 offshore wind farm (area 44.E.1) was approved through Environmental Decision no. 12/2025, issued on 27 June 2025. The decision, together with its associated Environmental Impact Assessment Report and environmental data, covers the offshore generation infrastructure within the 44.E.1 concession area. Later, on 25 November 2025, PGE’s project company Elektrownia Wiatrowa Baltica 9 sp. z o.o. entered into an assets purchase agreement with Carmagnola sp. z o.o. and RWE Offshore Wind Poland sp. z o.o. to acquire this Environmental Decision and related environmental documentation. Securing this DŚU-type environmental consent was a key prerequisite enabling the Baltica 9 project to participate in Poland’s first competitive offshore wind auction (AMFW/1/2025).
