An additional environmental decision was issued in 2022 for the connection infrastructure of the Baltica Offshore Wind Farm, which comprises the Baltica 2 and Baltica 3 projects. The Baltica project website timeline records a milestone "Environmental decision for connection infrastructure issued" for Baltica 2+3 in 2022. This decision relates to the onshore and offshore transmission assets needed to connect the wind farms—located in the Polish part of the Baltic Sea between Łeba and Ustka, with land infrastructure in Choczewo commune—to the national grid. Together with the earlier 2020 environmental decision for the wind farms themselves, this approval means both the generating assets and their shared connection infrastructure for Baltica 3 have passed the key environmental permitting stage required before building permits and construction can proceed.
