Ørsted and PGE selected Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy as turbine supplier for the Baltica 2 offshore wind farm. In April 2023, the partners signed an agreement for the supply of 107 Siemens Gamesa 14 MW-222 offshore wind turbines, giving the project a total capacity of up to 1.5 GW. This contract locks in the turbine technology and a major share of the project’s CAPEX, enabling detailed engineering and installation planning ahead of construction in the Polish Baltic Sea, around 40 km off the coast near Ustka.
