Turbine installation on the Baltica 2 offshore wind farm is planned to commence in 2027, after completion of the main foundation, export cable and offshore substation installation phases. The project will deploy 107 Siemens Gamesa 14 MW‑222 turbines. Installation has been split between two specialist jack‑up vessel contractors: Fred. Olsen Windcarrier, selected to install 48 turbines, and Cadeler, contracted for the remaining units. According to the project schedule released around FID, the partners expect to start turbine installation in 2027, following offshore construction and testing of the electrical infrastructure, with the aim of achieving first power the same year.
