In June 2023, Semco Maritime and PTSC Mechanical & Construction (PTSC M&C) were awarded the offshore substation contract for Baltica 2. The scope covers design, manufacturing and commissioning of the offshore substations that will collect power from the 107 turbines and transmit it to shore. Securing these contractors defines the project’s offshore electrical transmission concept and allows fabrication engineering for the platforms serving the 1.5 GW Baltic Sea wind farm.
