By February 2024, PGE and Ørsted had finalised all contracts for wind turbine installation vessels on Baltica 2. Early in January 2024, a contract for the first batch of turbines was awarded to Norway’s Fred. Olsen Windcarrier. On 20 February 2024, Cadeler was contracted to install the second batch of turbines. Together, these awards secure the jack-up vessel capacity needed to install all 107 Siemens Gamesa 14 MW-222 turbines on the 1.5 GW Polish offshore wind project.
