By February 2026, the first major stage of offshore site preparation for Baltica 2 had been completed. Boskalis, using its vessel BOKA Falcon, finished preparing 150 km of inter‑array cable routes that will connect the 107 turbines to four offshore substations. The preparatory sequence included geotechnical surveys, UXO screening, boulder clearance with the T‑Rex plough, and trenching with the Megalodon plough to shape corridors where cables can later be installed and buried safely. Completing these works closes a key phase in seabed preparation, reducing installation risk and improving long‑term protection for the future inter‑array cables before moving on to export‑cable route preparation.
