In August 2025, Boskalis began offshore site‑preparation works for the Baltica 2 offshore wind farm’s cable system in the Polish sector of the Baltic Sea. Using its vessel Boka Falcon equipped with the T‑Rex plough, the company started boulder clearance along the planned inter‑array and export cable routes to prepare corridors for subsequent trenching. At the end of 2025, Boskalis switched to the Megalodon plough to cut trenches, further conditioning the seabed so cables can later be laid and adequately protected. By February 2026, the first stage of seabed preparation had been completed, with 150 km of inter‑array cable routes prepared. These activities form the core offshore site‑preparation phase ahead of export and array cable installation and are a prerequisite for safely installing and protecting Baltica 2’s subsea power cables.
