Following submission of an updated environmental impact assessment in April 2023, PGE and Ørsted obtained an amended environmental decision (DŚU) for the offshore part of the Baltica 2 and Baltica 3 projects in August 2023. Issued by RDOŚ Gdańsk, this modified decision updates the environmental conditions to accommodate newer turbine technology and design parameters while keeping the projects compliant with Poland’s environmental regulations. The amended DŚU further de‑risks the scheme ahead of construction by ensuring that the offshore design reflects current market technology within an approved environmental framework.
