Ørsted press release dated 11 May 2026 — as-built status snapshot for Baltica 2. Progress: monopile foundations 1+/111 (first foundations installed in the Polish part of the Baltic Sea); offshore substations 0/4; WTGs 0/107 (Siemens Gamesa 14-222). Onshore: transformer station and underground export cables under construction at Osieki Lęborskie (Choczewo commune) since Feb 2025. This period (May 2026): Van Oord mobilised installation vessel Aeolus and heavy-lift vessel Svanen for the foundation campaign; first monopiles installed at the project site approximately 40 km off the Polish coast near Ustka. Monopiles are ~100 m long, >10 m diameter, ~1,500 t average. Boskalis seabed-preparation campaign for inter-array routes (150 km) already complete; preparation of 260 km export cable route ongoing. Forecast next 7 months: foundation installation by Van Oord to continue through Q4 2026 (111 monopiles total — 107 WTG + 4 OSS). Export cable installation, OSS topside installation, and onshore-substation system testing all scheduled to begin "later this year" (2026, per baltica.energy 17 Feb 2026). Inter-array cable installation (Boskalis) to follow once foundations and OSS are in place (2027). First electricity expected ~one year from foundation start (~H1 2027 per PGE CEO Dariusz Lubera). Full commercial operations expected by end of 2027. Active fleet: TIV/Heavy-lift: Aeolus, Svanen (Van Oord). Cable seabed-prep: Boka Falcon with Megalodon/T-Rex ploughs (Boskalis).
