Cable installation for Baltica 2 will begin in 2026, starting with the 4 x 275 kV export cables (~260 km total). Per the Ørsted/PGE February 2026 update, foundations, export cables and offshore substations all begin offshore installation in 2026; inter-array cable installation (107 cables, ~150 km) follows once foundations and OSS topsides are in place, in 2027. Transport and installation is contracted to Boskalis, which has already completed the inter-array seabed-preparation campaign (150 km) and is now preparing the 260 km export cable route. Export cable installation will be carried out by Boskalis vessels Ndurance and Boka Ocean.
