By early 2025, PGE had completed a two‑year metocean data collection campaign using LiDAR technology for the 0.9 GW Baltica 1 offshore wind project. The LiDAR system gathered detailed information on wind conditions and other marine parameters at the project site, forming the basis for wind resource assessment, energy yield estimates, and design input for turbines and support structures. The completion of this long‑term measurement period significantly de‑risked the project by confirming the suitability of the site’s wind and metocean conditions for large‑scale offshore wind generation.
