On 5 August 2024, PGE Baltica signed an agreement with ENERGOPROJEKT‑KATOWICE S.A. to prepare a conceptual design for the Baltica 1 offshore wind farm. The scope includes electrical studies such as fixed and fault power flows, short‑circuit and preliminary harmonic analyses, together with cost and reliability assessments. The resulting documentation will underpin further design work on the optimal power‑derivation concept and grid connection solution for Baltica 1. This conceptual design contract marks a key early‑development engineering milestone for the project, translating resource and site data into a coherent technical concept.
