The 112 MW EnBW Albatros offshore wind farm in the German North Sea reached commercial operations in January 2020, completing commissioning of all 16 Siemens Gamesa SWT-7.0-154 turbines on monopile foundations approximately 95 km north of Borkum. Combined with the adjacent 497 MW Hohe See project (operational November 2019), the EnBW-led cluster delivers 609 MW total. Albatros connects via its own Offshore Transformer Module (OTM, Heerema-fabricated Siemens topside) to the BorWin2 (BorWin Beta) HVDC converter platform.
