In June 2025 Terna's Adriatic Link onshore civil works mobilised in the Spoltore area of the Province of Pescara (Abruzzo region), extending the project-wide onshore construction effort from the Marche side (where trenching began at Metaurilia in late 2024) into the Abruzzo landfall corridor. Works in Spoltore covered Via Ripoli, Via Rastelli, Via Monte Cervino and Via Marmolada, with single-lane traffic restrictions enforced between 16 June and 11 July 2025 to allow cable-duct installation along the underground route between the Cepagatti converter substation and the Adriatic coastal landfall. The Spoltore mobilisation marked the formal opening of the Abruzzo-side onshore cable corridor, working in parallel with the Marche-side trenching already underway between the Fano converter substation site and the Metaurilia landfall. Spoltore is one of several Pescara-province municipalities (alongside Cappelle sul Tavo, Cepagatti, Città Sant'Angelo, Montesilvano) crossed by the 40 km onshore P-laser-insulated cable section being installed by Prysmian Group as part of the EUR 630m turnkey HVDC cable contract. No service or asset-completion milestones at Spoltore have been separately reported.
